Thanks for looking into the discount code issue in the other thread.
Three very quick pre-sales questions: 1) Is there a test script available? I'm not 100% sure if IonCube will work with my current host, as I had some problems with it before. Since no refund are offered for incompatible-ness, it's probably best to test before I dive. 2) When can we expect a vBulletin rule pack? 3) Will .htaccess edit work with vBSEO? Or must I edit vBulletin files? Edit: Actually, make that 4 questions: 4) I am guessing it works the same way as IPB and vBulletin licensing, where I can assign it to another domain if I no longer wish to use it on the originally purchased domain, correct? Off to rest for now, will check back (and maybe order) later today. |

However in my experience, 19/20 sites support Ioncube Runtime Loading, and the rest can do via php.ini. If you have been using VBSEO for a while, they required ioncube or zend in the beginning, so im sure you will be fine Id expect a VBulletin pack to be out within a week or so, were doing the invision one first Im pretty sure the htaccess thing would work, but if it didnt you would only need to edit ONE file (the config.php file with your DB details in it Yes, but we charge 10$ for domain changes after 45 days |

I used vBSEO a long time back, and the IonCube tester and Zend tester both claimed that it'd work; but when I got the script, only one worked... this was like... 2 years back, so I don't actually remember which one worked and which one didn't. Eventually, I sold that license off, and didn't had need for it again for a while until now -- where they now offer clean unencoded files. I was kind of hoping that there's something from your end that I could test with -- as I do not have access to php.ini (shared hosting, obviously not going to get access to that). But I guess I'll give ioncube's test script a spin to see if it makes any difference.
Thanks! |

http://www.ioncube.com/loaders.php
Download the appropriate loaders, and there will be a .php file inside like "ioncube-loader-file.php" (something like that). Upload that and visit it in your browser - it will tell you if runtime loading worked (or, for that matter, if your php.ini is already modified). If not, it will tell you how to modify php.ini. |
