R. K. Mishra is world’s one of the most endowed professor of Minimal Access Surgery. He is the recipient of Global Medical Education Award by vice-chancellors of eight apex universities during National Open and Distance Education Summit 2007 in the presence of Honourable Shri P.R. Kyndiah, Union Minister for tribal affairs, Government of India. He is recepient of Lord Ashdown award for his valuable teaching contribution in the field of Minimal Access Surgery. He is one of the Pioneer Laparoscopic Surgeons of India. He is Professor and Head of Minimal Access Surgery, School of Modern Medicine, TGO University. Pof. Mishra is the visiting Professor of many institution of the world like Iranian Medical University, Tehran, Iran, King Abdulaziz Medical City, Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Iranian Hospital, Dubai; Aljela Hospital, Tripoli, Libya, Gulu Independent Hospital, University of Gulu, Uganda. King and Edward Hospital, Kenya, Istanbul Goztepe Education and research hospital.
